Pato Banton’s Peace and Love Tour will perform live at Elings Park in Santa Barbara from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 2. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

“We are delighted to be able to organize a community event that is family-friendly and benefits the Elings Park Foundation,” said event organizer Andres Nuño d’En Fuego Events.

Banton is a Grammy nominated reggae legend who has recorded and toured the world with The English Beat, Steel Pulse, UB40 and Sting.

The Santa Barbara Cornerstone Reggae will also be performing at 5:30 pm; and Antoinette Rootsdawtah, from 7 p.m. Banton takes the stage at 8 p.m.

“The main objective is to spread the good news of peace, love and unity, and to remind everyone that we are all children and brothers and sisters of God,” Banton said in a press release. “I will also make myself available to everyone for photos, autographs and prayer circles after the show.”

The event is suitable for all ages. Tickets are $ 20 and kids 12 and under get in free. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased at Tickets at the door will be $ 30. The event has a limited number of tickets and is expected to sell out.

Food trucks will be on site; Firestone Walker Craft Beer and Cali Squeeze Seltzer will be available for purchase. Those present can bring food, lawn chairs and blankets. Alcohol, pop-up tents or coolers are not allowed.

“We’ve been waiting since March 2019 to host an in-person event and will make sure our guests are safe, and Elings Park offers a great way for people to be able to socially distance themselves if they want to, dance with their friends. and the family, and finally being able to enjoy other members of the community with good reggae music, ”Nuño said.

On-site parking is available for $ 10. Do not park in surrounding neighborhoods. Uber and Lyft drop-offs are available.
